An important update for our customers
With a new, more transmissible strain of coronavirus spreading across the UK, national lockdowns have once again been introduced in both England and Scotland, with Ministers asking people to stay at home in order to help protect the NHS and save lives.
The Prime Minister advised a national lockdown would take effect from midnight on 4 January. Until we receive more guidance from the government and the new restrictions are set out in law on Wednesday, our advice to customers is that we have been directed to stop providing all close contact services with immediate effect such as massage treatments and other complementary health therapies which we provide.
All treatments including massage are suspended during this latest lockdown. However, we can continue to provide acupuncture. According to the updated guidance, “medical and health services” can remain open. Therefore, members of ATCM can continue their practice.
On a positive note, we are allowed to continue to provide counselling via telephone and zoom for anyone struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues and any other emotional problem that is affecting your life.
If we learn that there are any circumstances under which close contact services can continue, we will of course update our customers.
We are all living with extenuating circumstances due to the coronavirus and the Riverside want to extend our support by providing a telephone, text and email support service where you can contact us for help and advice during the day and evening.
Very best wishes
Sue and the Riverside Team
